Ice cream. Who would have thought that an ice cream sandwich carried such a powerful message? Yesterday, our Staff Committee members surprised others throughout the school with various ice cream treats. The message was: We care that you enjoy working with us. I agree.
Our Staff Committee is one step we’ve taken to engage with and show appreciation to all of the School’s staff. Led by Beth Marcus, this group meets regularly to discuss issues affecting staff and plan appreciation events and other activities. They’re not just sharing ice cream and putting on contests, they’re also sharing ideas and feedback from their teams. I value the all of input and ideas that I am receiving.
Thanks to all of our staff who show up every day with positive attitudes and a commitment to our mission and the community we serve. Please continue to make your voices heard–I’m listening.
