What impresses you most about the VCU School of Dentistry?
What has impressed me most about the VCU School of Dentistry is the level of technology and clinical resources available to support both education and patient care. Combined with its strong specialty programs and diverse patient population, VCU provides an excellent environment where students and residents can gain valuable clinical experience while learning the latest approaches to treatment.
Why did you choose to become an oral health educator?
I have always enjoyed teaching and mentoring. Throughout my career, I have found it rewarding to help students and residents develop not only their clinical skills, but also the confidence and critical thinking needed to care for patients. Education provides an opportunity to share knowledge, learn from others, and contribute to the future of our profession.
What are you most excited about in your new role?
I am excited to return to academic dentistry and integrate the diverse experiences I have gained through specialty training, teaching, and private practice. Being able to contribute simultaneously to student education and patient care, while working alongside such talented colleagues, makes this an especially meaningful opportunity.
