There are amazing things happening at VCU

What a week it has been! I write this message transitioning from the American Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research’s (AADOCR) Annual Meeting to the Academy of Osseointegration’s (AO) Annual Meeting. Earlier this week, I attended the American Dental Education Association’s (ADEA) Annual Session along with a number of our faculty, students and staff.

I’m proud to be surrounded by the involvement and accomplishments of our school. It speaks volumes about the excellence occurring in our classrooms, labs and operatories. This excellence was on full display at ADEA’s Annual Session, where the success of a number of our faculty and students was celebrated with awards, scholarships, and poster presentations, in addition to several prominent leadership appointments within ADEA. More details about these achievements can be found in today’s newsletter and on the school’s news blog. I look forward to sharing news from AADOCR and AO, which both conclude tomorrow.

Our school’s reputation continues to grow as more people learn about the amazing things happening at VCU. My sincere congratulations to everyone honored at this week’s events, and I encourage everyone to keep up the great work and continue to be involved in the many regional and national associations and governing bodies that represent dentistry and the allied dental professions.
